1. Where are you located? Our office is located at 1458 Plaza Place, Springdale, Arkansas, 72764. We can be reached at (479) 750-4444. Our Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. members can reach us at 1-800-825-7100. Should you need detailed directions, please contact us at one of these numbers.

2. Do you practice "__________" law? There are few types of cases that we have not handled. If for some reason we cannot handle your particular case for whatever reason, we have established relationships with numerous other attorneys who can likely represent you.

3. What kind of fees do you charge? We are paid in one of three ways. First, on an hourly rate. For each hour or fraction of an hour, we are paid based on an hourly rate that is agreed to before we start working on your matter. The second way we are paid is on a "flat-fee," or "per job" basis. For instance, on legal matters that are fairly standardized, such as forming a corporation or preparing a deed, we charge a flat rate which is also agreed to before we start working on the matter. The last way we are sometimes paid is on a "contingent fee" basis. This means that we are paid a percentage of the amount that is recovered through settlement or trial. If nothing is recovered, no attorney's fees are paid. Obviously a "contingent fee" arrangement is only possible in cases where compensation is being requested from someone else. It is normally not possible to have a "contingent fee" arrangement in cases where we are defending someone. Don't be afraid to discuss the issue of fees with us. It is important that the attorney and the client begin the working relationship by being comfortable with the terms.

4. Do you sue insurance companies? In a word, "yes." We are not intimidated, afraid, or opposed to obtaining compensation from any person or corporation that caused harm or is responsible for injury to another person or company.

5. Are your attorneys experienced? Between our 11 attorneys, we have well over 100 years in collective experience. Arkansas law does not allow an attorney to say that he or she "specializes" in an area other than tax law, and we are not "specialists" in tax law. So we are not suggesting that we are "specialists" in any particular field. Suffice it to say that we are very comfortable practicing law in almost every area of the law, and if for some reason we don't feel comfortable in some narrow area, we will be honest about it and tell you up front.

6. Is there any kind of ranking or rating system for lawyers? If so, where do you fall on it? Yes, a large organization called "Martindale-Hubbell" compiles rankings of attorneys from all over the world. Attorneys are actually rated by peers in the communities where they practice law and Martindale-Hubbell publishes those rankings. We are proud to say that our firm is an "AV" rated firm under the Martindale-Hubbell system. This means that our firm has achieved the highest possible ranking in legal ability, which is what the "A" signifies. The "V" in the ranking signifies the highest possible ranking available for ethical standards. Statistically, an "AV" ranking is rare.
