Lisle Law Firm Wins Pre-Paid Legal Quality Award
Lisle Law Firm has won the second highest national award, the Quality Award, offered by Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc., the country's largest provider of legal service plans. The award was announced during the annual Pre-Paid Legal Services Attorney Provider Conference and Awards Banquet in Nashville, Tennessee on August 23, 2007 a yearly national convention for attorneys and law firm partners.
In addition to the firm's national award, two attorneys at Lisle Law Firm won a Member's Choice Award. Jan Thornton and John Young were recognized for having received exceptional and frequent praise from the members of Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. throughout the past year. This is the fourth year that Jan Thornton has won this award and the first year that John Young has won. The member's Choice Award is determined by excellent surveys and praise letters received from Pre-Paid Legal members.
Lisle Law Firm hosted its tenth annual meeting of associates of Arkansas Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the law firm's offices and the Art Center of the Ozarks.



Harland Stonecipher, Chairman, CEO and Founder of Pre-Paid Legal Services, was the featured speaker.
The firm treated about 150 guests to lunch at the Art Center of the Ozarks and music from the Tony Childs Combo. The firm's attorneys addressed the crowd on their experiences in representing Pre-Paid Legal members and current legal issues. Mr. Stonecipher inspired his listeners and challenged them to help provide people with equal access to justice.
Steve Lisle, managing partner, said the firm hosts the annual gathering to give the Arkansas area associates a chance to meet with the attorneys, and staff of the law firm and also meet Mr. Stonecipher and hear first-hand about the company's progress. Mr. Stonecipher was clearly excited about the advances his company has made over the past year, and his enthusiasm spread visibly to the associates gathered.
Eminent Domain Seminar On March 8, 2007
Steve Lisle of the Lisle Law Firm in Springdale presented a seminar on Eminent Domain in Springdale, Arkansas on March 8, 2007. "Eminent domain", also known as "condemnation", issues stem from the government's taking of private land for a public project. "With all of the development in Northwest Arkansas, we are seeing a dramatic increase in the number of takings in the area," Lisle said. Lisle received his J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law. He is a past contributor to the American Bar Association Annual Review of Condemnation Cases. He has represented local government in public projects and eminent domain cases, and he has represented landowners in numerous eminent domain cases involving many different federal, state, and local agencies as well as public utilities.

The award was announced during the annual Pre-Paid Legal Services Attorney Provider Conference and Awards Banquet in Columbus, Ohio on September 21, 2006, a yearly national convention for attorneys and law firm partners. This is the second consecutive year that Lisle Law Firm has won this prestigious award.
In addition to the firm's national award, two attorneys at Lisle Law Firm won a Member's Choice Award. Bob Brandon and Dorothyanne Barry were recognized for having received exceptional and frequent praise from the members of Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. throughout the past year. This is the fifth straight year that Bob Brandon has won this prestigious award. This is the first year that Dorothyanne Barry has won this award. The member's Choice Award is determined by excellent surveys and praise letters received from Pre-Paid Legal members. Steve Lisle also won the Leadership Award which is awarded for being the top Leader of all the provider firms in the United States and Canada.

The award was announced during the annual Pre-Paid Legal Services Attorney Provider Conference and Awards Banquet in Denver, Colorado on November 17, 2005, a yearly national convention for attorneys and law firm partners.
In addition to the firm's national award, three attorneys at Lisle Law Firm won a Member's Choice Award. Bob Brandon, Jan Thornton and Trail Rogers were recognized for having received exceptional and frequent praise from the members of Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. throughout the past year. This is the fourth straight year that Bob Brandon has won this prestigious award. In the past five years, Jan Thornton and Trail Rogers have won this award three times. The member's Choice Award is determined by excellent surveys and praise letters received from Pre-Paid Legal members.
"Pre-Paid Legal Services considers the "Excellence" award to be the most important and highest award," said Steve Lisle, one of the firm's managing partners. "We have gone to great lengths to make the quality of our service unparalleled among the company's provider law firms. It is great to know that our efforts have been noticed," he said.
Lisle said that Thornton, Rogers and Brandon have been exemplary in handling customers' legal problems.
"Most of our attorneys' work for Pre-Paid Legal Services is done over the phone, providing legal advice to our clients. It can be difficult to establish rapport with someone over the phone, but these attorneys do it, and do it well, everyday." Lisle said. "Their dedication and professionalism shine through on every phone call, and I'm delighted to see them get this recognition for their work," he said.

Donnie Rutledge teaches Construction Law Basics course
Donnie Rutledge taught a 2 1/2 hour course entitled "Construction Law Basics" that was sponsored by the Northwest Arkansas Home Builders Association in Springdale, Arkansas. Approximately 35 people attended. Topics covered included basics of contract law, real estate offer and acceptance contracts, builders' warranties, copyright, insurance, and other issues commonly faced by general contractors and others who are engaged in construction and real estate matters. Preliminary plans have been made to teach additional classes that are more comprehensive in nature. Donnie said, "It is always helpful to me and hopefully, to others, to interact with the people in a group setting who are all dealing with the day-to-day issues that come up in this area of the law. I look forward to doing more of these classes."
