Simply put, we are a full-service law firm located in Springdale, Arkansas. While we work for a lot of different kinds of clients such as cities, banks, and businesses, we also represent individuals - real people with real legal problems. We feel very fortunate to have had a relationship with Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc., since 1986. That means over 15,000 individuals and businesses turn to us when they need legal services. We're pretty proud of that.
What do we do? While the practice of law may seem like a mystery to some, we are in the business of giving advice and protecting the rights of our clients through drafting documents or advocating in court proceedings. For instance, a lot of our time is spent drafting contracts, forming corporations, drafting wills and all the other "routine" things that do not necessarily involve lawsuits. Probably one-half of our time, though, is spent prosecuting or defending clients who are involved in lawsuits. Although rarely shown in television shows and movies, by far the most time spent in handling a lawsuit is before the parties arrive in the courtroom. This includes researching cases and statutes, meeting with witnesses, drafting litigation documents called "pleadings", and developing, testing and refining legal arguments. Of all the things we do, this last aspect - the persuasion aspect - is probably what intrigues people the most. It is an art - a quality that is developed and improved over time - and separates excellent attorneys from those that are merely mediocre.
Why do we even exist? Our firm exists because our society demands that firms like ours help individuals and businesses navigate in an increasingly complex world. After all, who would argue that the world is becoming simpler? We like what we do and feel good about having the opportunity to do it. We have a talented and truly dedicated group of attorneys and staff who are committed to helping our clients to the fullest extent possible. Even so, we like to think that our clients would like to be friends with us even if we were not lawyers or didn't work in a law office.
We at Lisle Law Firm welcome an opportunity to sit down with you to see if we can be of service in the future.
