It's no secret - the Internet is a wonderful thing. We are finding that our clients are utilizing the internet as a research tool for their legal matters, much the same as they would to research information about a recently diagnosed illness or what kind of lawnmower to buy. This allows for more efficient communication between our attorneys and our clients, as well as better decision making all around. The following websites are particularly good:

1. Pre-Paid Legal Service, Inc. - www.prepaidlegal.com - The biggest U.S. prepaid legal service company, offering memberships at low monthly rates.

2. Internal Revenue Service - www.irs.gov - Contains tax forms, bulletins, publications, and answers to almost all tax questions.

3. Findlaw - www.findlaw.com - Large and probably best index to virtually every legal subject imaginable.

4. Arkansas Secretary of State - www.sosweb.state.ar.us/ - Corporation information, voting information, etc.

5. United States Department of Labor - www.dol.gov - An excellent and comprehensive site containing summaries and questions and answers involving the many laws affecting small businesses and other employers, such as OSHA, Americans With Disabilities Act ("ADA"), the Family and Medical Leave Act ("FMLA"), drug testing, etc.

6. Arkansas Attorney General - www.ag.state.ar.us - Information for crime victims, how to become a "Do Not Call" member (the "Anti-Telemarketers" list), Elder abuse, Medicaid fraud, etc.

7. United States Patent and Trademark Office - www.uspto.gov - Patents and trademarks, what they are, how to get one and how to search for previous registrations.
