Chris Lisle | Partner
Chris Lisle is one of the firm’s partners. He has dedicated his legal practice primarily to litigation, handling everything from a murder case to representing a child badly mangled in a car accident. With the real estate boom and bust, he has handled many real estate and construction disputes, including litigating the many complex lien and insurance issues that are often involved. He has also been devoting more time to creditor bankruptcy issues in that process.
With extensive appellate experience, Chris has numerous published opinions and has prevailed in nearly all of his appeals. Several of those appeals involved issues of first impression, including the first ever decision under the Arkansas Civil Rights Act; the first case to hold that the Arkansas Constitution prohibits the assertion of usury as a defense to a claim for fraud; and a notable decision addressing attorney-client relations, which is now cited and taught in many law schools. In 1998, he was selected by the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal as one of its “40 Under 40” for his professional achievements.
Chris graduated from Hendrix College where he was a member of the cross country team. He was already an active, contributing part of the firm as a clerk before he graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law. He recently completed a full distance Ironman competition (even though he loathes swimming), swimming 2.4 miles, biking 112 miles, and running 26.2 miles in 12 hours and 8 minutes. He has completed four marathons. He entered the Army as a private after high school, became a paratrooper, and eventually was promoted to Captain. In that time, he attended and completed many schools, culminating in his completing Army Ranger School. He is married and has three children.
